Our Community Campaign
For A Common Sense Path To Citizenship.
THE PROBLEM
Millions of undocumented migrants have lived in the U.S. for 10+ years.
Many are:
Long-term employees.
Active community members (church, schools, events).
Parents of U.S.-born children.
Deporting them would tear apart communities and local economies.
These individuals are not the cause of the current border crisis.
They are not draining resources – they are contributing members of society.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Create a federal employer portal where U.S. businesses can recommend long-time, law-abiding employees for legal residency.
2. Establish clear and fair criteria such as:
-Must have lived in the U.S. for 10 years or more.
-Must show 10+ years of consistent employment.
-Must have no criminal record, except for illegal entry.
-Must pass a background check.
-Must be active in their community.
3. Impose a one-time $5,000 fine for original illegal entry. If half of the 6 million immigrants who’ve been here since 1995 paid this fine, it would generate 15 billion dollars, aiding immigration enforcement and reform.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Karoline Leavitt has utilized the phrase, "Two things can be true at one time," and the immigration crisis is certainly a situation where that statement applies.
We can secure our borders and deport dangerous criminals while showing empathy, compassion and common sense towards hard-working illegal migrants who have been here so long that they indeed have become part of our communities. If you agree with Our Community Campaign, sign our petition!
